LINK Team Launched
Operation Inasmuch, Inc. has launched a new initiative—LINK, a bridge between churches doing Operation Inasmuch and OIAM, Inc. A team of volunteers will be telephoning contact persons in each of the several hundred churches in the “OIAM Family” to establish an ongoing relationship with them. Each LINK Team member will serve as a liaison between OIAM, Inc. and 12 churches.
There are 3 purposes for this initiative: (1) to establish a healthy relationship between the OIAM national office and congregations; (2) to facilitate the flow of information among the OIAM churches and the national office; and (3) to enhance the service OIAM, Inc. provides for the churches including new resources and problem-solving.
LINK Team members will be phoning contact persons in OIAM churches in the month of July. As you read this issue of Hands & Feet, be aware that you or some other person in your church will be receiving a call from your LINK liaison. Executive Director David Crocker says: “This is the first step toward the establishment of an Inasmuch Network in which the churches using the OIAM model of community ministry will form a lose but powerful network that has the potential of changing the church landscape in North America and the world. The Inasmuch Network is set to roll out in late 2007 or early 2008.”
