Inasmuch Network Launched

January, 2008, Operation Inasmuch, Inc. will launch the Inasmuch Network—a membership-based, network of churches using the OIAM model of community ministry.  Executive Director David Crocker says, “This is a major development for our ministry.  Not only will the Network empower stronger connections between our ministry and all the churches out there using OIAM but it will also connect those same churches to each other.  The Network will give churches access to a wealth of knowledge and experience in doing community ministry.  We believe it will become an important piece in a growing movement of congregations getting beyond the walls of their buildings to minister to all sorts of needs.”

Christina Perkins of Oak Ridge, TN, is the Inasmuch Network Director.  Christina holds degrees from Berea College, Berea, KY, and Campbell University Divinity School, NC.  She has served in college ministry and on the staff of First Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, TN.  Her husband, Matthew, is a high school teacher and they have one daughter.  She has researched church-related networks to glean their best practices and is currently developing tools by which to market the Network.  In January she will contact churches inviting them to join the Network. 

Churches will be Partners in the Network, signifying their active rather than passive participation.  Partner churches will receive a number of resources and services from OIAM, Inc. in return for their participation.  Additionally, they will receive access to a range of Network communications through the ministry website:  www.operationinasmuch.com.  While the complete list of services available through the Network is still in process, here are some of the services being considered:

	A monthly e-newsletter
	Access to the Roster of Partner Churches
	Discounts on all resources purchased through OIAM, Inc.
	Templates for promotion, registration, etc. for an OIAM event
	Access to sermon outlines and Bible study lessons
	Access to training, consultation, etc. with experienced OIAM personnel
